How Automated Provisioning Works

  1. A client pays for a dedicated server or a VPS in your billing system.
  2. The billing system calls the VirtlixCP API with the plan and the client.
  3. For a dedicated server, VirtlixCP picks a free server that matches the plan, assigns its IPs and starts an OS reload. For a VPS, it creates the VPS on a hypervisor with room.
  4. The client receives their login details by email.
  5. Suspensions, unsuspensions and terminations from the billing system are applied the same way. A suspended VPS shows the billing system's reason to the client. Terminated dedicated servers go back to stock; terminated VPSes are deleted and their IPs freed.

API keys

Create an integration under System, Integrations and give it its own API key, with only the permissions it needs. Each integration's actions show in System, Logs.
