Documentation / KVM Virtual Servers
What Clients Can Do
A VPS assigned to a client appears in their client area under VPS, and on their Home page.
Clients can:
- start, shut down, reboot and power off
- open the browser console, and see the VNC details when an admin has opened direct VNC
- reinstall with any template on that hypervisor, with a new password, saved SSH keys, and a control panel or recipe you allow
- change the root password and the hostname (straight away, with no restart, on a running Linux VPS) and the DNS servers
- set reverse DNS for the VPS's IPs
- edit the VPS's firewall rules
- mount ISOs (yours or their own) and use rescue mode
- schedule a start, shutdown or reboot
- restore their VPS from its backups
- see live graphs, this month's bandwidth and the port speed
Clients can't resize, delete, move or unsuspend a VPS, and only ever see their own.
