Control Panels, Recipes and SSH Keys
One-click control panels
When you create or reinstall a VPS, After install can install a control panel once the OS is up:
| Panel | Operating systems | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| cPanel and WHM | AlmaLinux and Rocky 8, 9, Ubuntu 22.04 | Needs a cPanel license. About an hour |
| Plesk | AlmaLinux, Rocky, Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04, Debian 11 and 12 | Starts with a trial license. About 20 minutes |
| HestiaCP | Debian 11 and 12, Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04 | Free. Log in on port 8083 as admin with the VPS root password. About 15 minutes |
| Webuzo | AlmaLinux, Rocky, Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04 | Free tier available. About 15 minutes |
| CloudPanel | Debian 12, Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04 | Free. Open https://IP:8443 to create the admin user. About 10 minutes |
Only the panels that support the chosen OS are offered. cPanel, Plesk and HestiaCP need a full hostname, like server1.example.com. The VPS shows Running while the panel installs; the install log is /root/virtlix-install.log on the VPS.
Recipes
A recipe is your own shell script, run once as root after an install. Add recipes under VPS, Recipes and choose whether clients can pick them when they reinstall. {HOSTNAME}, {EMAIL} and {PASSWORD} become the VPS's hostname, its client's email and the root password, already quoted for the shell. Changing the password or hostname later doesn't run the recipe again.
SSH keys
Save SSH public keys under VPS, SSH Keys (admins) or on the VPS's Settings tab (clients), then tick them when you create or reinstall a VPS. For a client's VPS, the client's own keys are offered as well.
