Profiles, Preseeds and Shell Scripts
| Menu | What it holds |
|---|---|
| OS Reloads, Profiles | What a client picks: the OS, its install template, scripts, kernel options, drivers and the completion email |
| OS Reloads, Preseeds | The answer files: preseed for Debian and Ubuntu, kickstart for AlmaLinux and Rocky, unattend.xml for Windows |
| OS Reloads, Shell Scripts | Scripts that run at the end of a Linux install, for example to install your monitoring agent |
| OS Reloads, Boot Scripts | The iPXE scripts that start each installer |
To change how an OS installs, copy its profile and preseed, edit the copies, and offer the new profile. Catalog updates never overwrite your own copies.
Templates use variables that the panel fills in for each server, such as its IP address, gateway, hostname and password. The variables available are listed in the editor.
