Disks, Storage and Moving VPSes

Extra disks

On a VPS's Manage tab, Disks adds extra disks, grows them and removes them, while the VPS runs when possible. Inside the VPS each one is /dev/disk/by-id/virtio-vxdisk<number>; format and mount it there. After growing a disk, extend its partition inside the VPS. Extra disks are not included in backups.

Storage

VPS, Storage shows each hypervisor's free space, how big its VPS disks can grow, and files nothing in the panel uses any more (for example after a failed job). You can delete those files there; files in use can't be deleted.

Moving a VPS

With more than one hypervisor, Manage, Move to another hypervisor shuts the VPS down, copies its disks to the other hypervisor and starts it there. The old copy is deleted once the new one is in place. The VPS keeps its IP addresses, so your provider must route them to the new server. A VPS in rescue mode, or with a backup running, can't be moved.
