Troubleshooting DHCP and PXE
Check the services on the panel server:
systemctl status virtlix-pxe-dhcp virtlix-pxe-api tftp.socket nginx smb
| Problem | Check |
|---|---|
| No DHCP offer | The server's VLAN has a DHCP relay pointing at the panel, and UDP 67 is open. The server must have an OS reload in progress: the DHCP server ignores everyone else. |
| Offer received, boot file fails | UDP 69 (TFTP) is open from the server's network. |
| Installer can't load | TCP 4002 is open from the server's network. |
| Wrong MAC address | The MAC on the server's page matches the network card it boots from. |
